AUTHENTIC WOODEN BOAT

The leut is often called the symbol of old Dalmatia and its fishermen. The largest among Adriatic traditional boats(up to twelve meters long, deadweight up to ten tons), the leut was adapted for sailing in hard conditions. In times preceding the boat engine it had up to fourteen crew members and served as a fishing or a cargo boat. The oldest documents mentioning this boat type date from 1617 and were discovered in Trogir, central Dalmatia.
